Incubator

An incubator, is a device used for the cultivation of microorganisms, bacteria, yeast, insect, animal and plant cell cultures. An incubator can be used to create and maintain controlled conditions for various incubation, development, and growth processes. Specifically, an incubator creates a microclimate with tightly controlled humidity and temperature. In medicine, for example, the behavior of cells and their growth in an incubator provide important information about how certain cell types behave under certain conditions. In daily laboratory practice, cell samples are positioned inside the incubators and their reactions to the individually set environmental conditions are observed.
