Carboxene particles are synthetic carbon particles that are spherical in shape, have a narrow particle size distribution, and have a predefined pore structure and surface chemistry. Carboxen 569 has a hydrophobic surface and has an increased kinetic saturation capacity for volatile organic compounds such as dichloromethane, butane, pentane and vinyl chloride.
