Vacuum system

A vacuum is colloquially defined as the condition in a room at pressures below atmospheric pressure. The pressure can be generated by gases or vapors that are uniformly distributed in the room. According to the standard, vacuum is defined as “the state of a gas when the pressure of the gas in a container, and thus the particle number density, is lower than outside or when the pressure of the gas is lower than 300 mbar, i.e. lower than the lowest atmospheric pressure occurring on the earth’s surface.”
