Bio 3D Printer

Bio 3D printers are used for 3D bioprinting. 3D bioprinting is the use of 3D printing-like techniques to combine cells, growth factors, and/or biomaterials to create biomedical parts, often with the goal of mimicking natural tissue characteristics. In general, 3D bioprinting allows materials, known as bioinks, to be applied in layers to create tissue-like structures that are later used in various fields of medicine and tissue engineering. 3D bioprinting encompasses a wide range of bioprinting techniques and biomaterials. Currently, bioprinting can be used to print tissue and organ models to support drug discovery and potential treatments. Innovations range from bioprinting extracellular matrix to mixing cells with hydrogels, which are applied layer by layer to create the desired tissue.
