Medium pressure liquid chromatography (MPLC) is an analytical column chromatography method. This method is used to separate the saturated, aromatic and polar fractions of a crude oil or an extract by a precolumn containing thermally deactivated silica and a main column of activated silica as stationary phase with n-hexane as mobile phase.
