Glove box general
A glovebox (also isolator) is a container that is hermetically and gas-tight sealed from the surrounding workspace. A defined atmosphere can be created inside the glove box for processing sensitive or hazardous substances. The Feed-throughs with gas-tight (butyl) gloves allow isolated access to the interior, hence the name “glove box”. Materials are transferred via chambers or airlocks that can be evacuated and via media connections. Depending on the application, the atmosphere of the glove box consists of specially filtered air or inert gas.
